Nice job! I am also a big reader, so I appreciate the book metaphor and how you weaved it through your speech. The overall speech structure felt very polished. One thing that will help strengthen this kind of speech is balancing it more by adding specific details about yourself that correspond to those metaphors. For example, what kind of new things have you liked learning about? How is seeing yourself as someone people could turn to for advice perhaps related to what you study or do? This will help your speech be both more memorable and make your listener feel they have heard something that only you could tell them.
