Public speaking is essential in democracies because it facilitates liberated communication, the transfer of ideas, and opinion-shaping. It influences choices and public policies. Similar to artists, speakers captivate their audience with storytelling and creativity with the objective provoking ideas and behaviors. Both utilize their skill to influence others and have an impact on the world and the people.

I believe that public speaking is a vital part in democracies because the foundation of democracy is layered upon the voices of the people. If the voices of the people is silenced, then there is no democracy. The Greek even made it mandatory for the public to take rhetoric classes so people know how to articulate themselves. A democracy without public speaking is like a tiger without its fangs, it could go on for a short period of time but will eventually starve to death. I think that public speaking is like the work of an artists is because a speaker must delicately craft their speech, and deliver it in a way that will encapsulate their audience. It demonstrates what they believe in and stand for. A musician might make a sad song, a painter speaks with every stroke of his brush, a sculpture chips away at a marble as he frees the creature stuck inside. However, a public speaker delicately writes and delivers a speech in such a way that it moves people, and that is what I think is so powerful about public speaking.

Public speaking is crucial in a healthy democracy because it engages open dialogue, and it also amplifies the peoples voices so each person can be heard. It allows Citizens to be apart of politics, it gives them the opportunity to advocate for change through protest and challenge injustice. In a similar way, public speaking relates to an artists work. This concept requires criticism from the audience as it uses language to voice opinions. In another way, it also relates by the artists having to perfect their public speaking to be comfortable to speak in front of large audiences, which is the basis for an artist to be successful.

I believe public speech-making plays an important role in a healthy democracy. It allows people to share ideas, discuss issues, and make their voices heard. Leaders can explain their plans, and citizens can ask questions or raise concerns. This open exchange of ideas helps people make informed decisions and keeps the government accountable to the public. Public speaking is related to the work of an artist because both aim to communicate something meaningful. Just like an artist expresses feelings or tells a story through their work, a speaker shares ideas and inspires others with their words. Both use creativity and skill to connect with people and make them think or feel in a certain way.

Public speech-making plays a core part in democracy as a way of getting around to everyone who wants to be interested in what you have to say. This includes your ideas, your logical ways of thinking, and your stance on multiple gratification topics. When you are creating art, it is for several reasons but in all cases, it is to visually display some sort of thought or feeling for it to be seen in some way by yourself or others. Public speaking, itself is a form of art so to express the things you want, you have to think like an artist in the way that would best do so with a leading train of thought displayed.

Public speaking is essential, for maintaining a thriving democracy as it involves comprehending the communities you’re a part of and crafting ideas that connect with people’s hearts and minds. This method encourages involvement, from segments of society. Helps individuals feel valued and understood. Speaking empowers those who lack a platform to express themselves and fuels progress in areas that need attention. Failure to embrace this approach suppresses thoughts. Hinders the possibility of creating significant positive impact.

Yes public speech-making plays a role in a healthy democracy because it determines how they view a person’s character excluding the facts they may already know about the person. It gives the audience a chance to gain a perspective on how they view the speaker’s personality, speech patterns, welcomingness and so much more. Public speaking may be related to the work of an artist because the speaker can have that as their career choice. They also have a uniqueness in which they conduct their speech; they may have a specific talking style, unique voice/tone, a way they conduct their body language. Public speaking is related to the work of an artist because the term “artist” is very broad. I would consider an artist a person who works in creative fields and thus a lot of time required to understand public speaking. When one creates art, they have the intention to share it with others and it would be to their benefit if they can properly explain and talk through their process, intentions, and their thoughts overall. A lot of time if we can’t understand the art, we go to the artist and ask them to help us understand their vision.

Public speaking is healthy for a democracy because each speaker gets to point out their informative, persuasive, and entertaining speech that will give them insight into how they view the world without using violence. It’s much better to speak it out within an audience to understand one another more clearly where we disagree and agree on certain topics with constructive criticism and feedback for future public speaking. Art is related to public speaking because it is a creative process. For instance in art people have creative freedom without the limitations that we impose on ourselves and public speaking is similar to creating a speech that which we are comfortable with and has a significant connection to us. We are expressing ourselves to everyone so they can know who and what we represent as individuals and that we are unique and may have been in similar situations to each other so that we can establish connections.

They employ their abilities to inspire, convince, and tell tales.
